When is the race typically held?
The race is always held on the last Saturday of April. There is only one race, post time 4:00pm – must arrive by 3:00pm.

Where is the racecourse located?
The racecourse is located at 2700 Tufton Ave, Reisterstown, MD.
View Directions for more specific parking information – different directions (and GPS co-ordinates) are required for each parking pass category.

Can I bicycle in?
Yes, You do not need a pass to arrive by bicycle, however, you must arrive by 2 pm.

Can I be dropped off?
Yes, if you plan to be dropped off, this must be done by 2 pm, in a safe manner without obstructing traffic on Tufton Ave. The vehicle dropping you off will not be allowed to turn around. You do not need a pass to be dropped off.

What type of parking passes are available for purchase and what do they cost?
General Admission – $60
Patron – $150

What is the process to become a Subscriber?
The combination of limited space in the Subscriber parking area and loyal supporters creates a 7-8 year waiting list to become a Subscriber. All Patron pass purchasers are eligible to become Subscribers, on a first-in, first-out basis. The key to becoming a Subscriber is to be on our mailing list and purchase a Patron pass annually until invited to be a Subscriber.

I have been following the process to become a Subscriber, but was unable to buy a pass in 2021 because of limited availability; am I still on the list?
Yes, 2020 and 2021 will not cause anyone to lose their place on the list because normal ticket sales did not occur. For list purposes, everyone will treated it as if they bought a ticket in 2020 and 2021.

Is there additional admission beyond the parking pass?
No, your parking pass is the admission for the people in your vehicle.

When can I purchase tickets?
While supplies last, Parking Passes may be purchased online through from March 1 until Friday evening before the race. Parking passes may be purchased by mail through April 5.

Are there cut off dates? 
The cut off date for  Mail purchases is April 5 to allow for mailing in time. Patron and General may still be purchased at online until Friday evening before the race, while supplies last.

Can I be placed on a mailing list?
Your name will automatically be placed on the mailing list after your first on-line purchase. If you want to be added to the mailing list, please email: info@marylandhuntcup.com

Can I purchase tickets the day of the race?
No

What forms of payment are acceptable?
We accept checks through the mail and Credit cards are only accepted for online purchases.

Where can I purchase a parking pass?

Online and through the mail.

How do I get to the race?
Each parking lot has specific directions.

General Parking – Access parking from the east/Falls Rd. side of course
Subscriber and Patron Parking – Access parking from the west/Worthington Ave. side of course

Please note: the police block off part of Tufton avenue after 2pm so it is 
important that spectators come from the correct direction. NO TRAFFIC ADMITTED TO RACE AREA AFTER 3 PM!

When do the gates open?
11:00 a.m. Your parking pass will be taken when you enter the lot, so there is no reentry.

Are food and drinks available for sale?
No, there are no concessions, we encourage picnicking.

Can I bring a tent and grill?
Small (10ft x 10 ft) pop up tents without sidewalls are allowed. It must be placed immediately behind vehicle. Please be courteous to others and keep your picnic and other accoutrements within this area. Keep picnic and all accoutrements (including Pop-Up) within this 10×10 area. No grills or open flames allowed because of safety issues.

Can I park overnight?
No, Property owners require parking lots to be empty by 6:00 p.m.
